An Introduction to Alchemy

The Science of Transformation

For well over 10 years now I’ve been enthusiastically researching Alchemy, diving deep into the ancient texts, applying it to my life and work, and retraining my brain to think like an alchemist rather than the indoctrinated physicist I once was.

I can sincerely report that this has been a very illuminating process, a necessary purification and decluttering of the mind—a return to scientific reality after many years lost in the fantasy world of complex equations and hypothetical particles.

Everything makes a lot more sense now than it did before, so much so that I was compelled to spend two years writing a book about it (4.6 stars, 105 reviews).

There are many misconceptions about alchemy coming from both the scientific and religious camps, but I hope to show that it is something beautiful, practical and relatable—an ancient natural philosophy in which science, art and spirituality are elegantly intertwined.

Alchemy was known as The Art, The Great Work or The Science of Transformation. Here I present a high-level overview of the essential philosophy, theory and practice. What it is, what it isn’t. How it works, how it applies to everyday life, and how it differs from modern materialist science.

I discuss Hermes Trismegistus, the great sage and progenitor of Hermetic arts, and present an exclusive new translation of the Emerald Tablet—an ancient relic said to contain the most distilled alchemical teachings in a single page of symbols.

This is a good place to start for anyone new to the subject, but there will be some fresh gems of insight for the more seasoned adepts out there as well.

I hope you enjoy this presentation.
